It’s that time of year, and one of the highlights of the Fall auction season is upon us— The Birthday Auction! This year, it is actually on my Birthday, November 21. I will be turning 48 years old, inching ever so slowly to 50, one fine wine at a time! November is an exciting month for us in general with back-to-back weekend auctions in Hong Kong, starting with our second-ever spirits only auction followed closely by the legendary wines direct from the cellar of Domaine Jean-Louis Chave on November 9th! We will be back in New York City on Thursday, November 21st at 3pm at Vaucluse for what is always one of the great celebrations of the year. If there is one sale for which you want to go out of your way and attend in person this season, this is it! There is nearly $5 million of fine and rare wine in this exceptional catalog; a sale once again brimming with Burgundy, bursting with Bordeaux, and full of our favorites from Italy, California, Champagne, the Rhône and more.
The highlights begin in Lots 590-717A with an exceptionally curated collection assembled by a fastidious consignor, with the help of one of the industry’s noted advisors who inspected all of the wines prior to purchase. He focused on provenance and particular producers of prominence with all the wines kept in professional storage since purchase. Over 125 fantastic lots from Burgundy, Rhône, Champagne and Italy!
Next, the longstanding collector in Lots 296-421 has been with us since the very beginning, and we are always delighted to have him return and take us around the world of fine wine from his professionally stored cellar. This beautiful 125 plus lot consignment features the very best of Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhône, Champagne, Italy and California are the focus here with the wines purchased from mailing lists, reputable retailers and top auction houses.

The momentum of Burgundy bravado carries us into Lots 718-762, coming from an esteemed collector whose decades working on Wall Street and with Japan’s top financial firms have facilitated the purchase the greatest wines from the Côte d’Or. We are delighted to have this significant consignment where every lot is a truly a highlight! Meticulous as a collector, the wines in this consignment have been stored at a constant 50 degrees Fahrenheit and at high humidity from the moment of acquisition. Make way for the legends of Burgundy!
